Welcome to your Sophomore year.
Sophomore is a word made up of two word roots: Soph meaning wisdom and moro meaning fool. That word represents the second level of learning in high school and in college. You begin as "fresh" men and move on to become "wise fools." I suspect that name means that at times you will be wise and mature and at times you will be "silly sophomores."
Our goal this year is to improve your skills in a way that will help you in all classes. We will focus on vocabulary building, reading and writing skills, and study skills.
I look forward to a productive year, transitioning you from silly sophomores to jolly juniors.
